Duckwall-Alco Stores, Inc. (DUCK), Friday, reported a slight increase in profit for the fourth quarter.
The Abilene, Kansas-based company reported a fourth-quarter net profit of $832 thousands or $0.22 per share, compared to $809 thousands or $0.21 per share last year.
Total revenue for the quarter rose to $137.53 million from $136.20 million in the prior-year quarter.
For the fourth quarter, excluding fuel center sales, same-store sales dropped 0.6 percent to $133.4 million, compared to last year.
