Blake Shelton has announced that he will perform with his team of protégés on an upcoming edition of The Voice. Both Shelton and Christina Aguilera will hit the stage with their final four team members for the show which airs on April 16.
Shelton and Aguilera have sparked an unlikely friendship and while speaking with MTV, Blake explained that they've spent time together outside of the show:
"We hang out a little bit. It's different out there in Los Angeles, and I don't really fit in on the scene, but there's been a time or two . . . normally during the live episodes. We'll get together almost every night, all the coaches, believe it or not," Blake explained.
Christina even made a special effort to turn up at a party hosted by the country star last year:
"I had a party last year at my house. And I'll be damned if the first person at my door wasn't Christina Aguilera," Blake recalls. "We love our house parties on The Voice."
