Godsmack have released their version of Joe Walsh's classic "Rocky Mountain Way," set to be included as a bonus track on their upcoming live album, Live & Inspired, which will feature in-concert versions of nine of their own tunes as well as four covers.
The song, available for streaming on the band's official Facebook page, remains nearly true to the form of the original, aside from the heavy riffing that opens it.
Live & Inspired features live material mostly culled from a 2010 Godsmack concert at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Michigan. Originally, the band was planning to pull live cuts from several different cities, but the Detroit show went so well that they decided to pull all the tunes from just that show. The new live offering is set to be released on May 15.
