Jimmy Buffett has been added to the bill for the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival to replace Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, who was originally scheduled to play the spot.
The reason for Vedder's absence from the show is because of nerve damage in his right arm, which caused him to cancel the rest of his ukulele tour dates.
After the news got out that Vedder would not be playing the festival, organizers were scrambling to find another act for the May 3 performance and luckily Buffet stepped in. He will be joining multi-instrumentalist and country songwriter Mac McAnally from Jimmy's Coral Reefer Band.
Buffett has played New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Fest many times and actually headlined the show last year.
Vedder's tour was supposed to take off on April 10, but will now kick off on October 31 in Las Vegas.
