Turkish Consumer Confidence Hits 9-Month High In March

Confidence among Turkish consumers increased to its highest level in nine months in March, a survey report from the Turkish Statistical Office showed Monday.

The consumer confidence index rose to 93.9 in March from 93.2 in February. Sentiment increased for a fifth consecutive month.

Consumers' expectations regarding the general economic situation in the coming three months weakened marginally with the index falling to 94.4 from 94.5 in February.

Consumers' employment expectations improved during the month and they were upbeat about buying big-ticket items, the survey revealed.
