Pre-market Movers For April 16 (C, DRJ, ECYT, MAT, FUEL, HALO, BAX, EF)

Gainers:

Citigroup, Inc. (C) is up nearly 1 percent to $33.69. The company's first quarter profit declined from the previous year. However, excluding the impact of CVA/DVA and the net gain on minority investments, profit rose 8 percent.

Dreams Inc. (DRJ) is rising 45 percent to $3.79 as Fanatics agreed to acquire all the outstanding shares of the company for $3.45 per share in cash. Dreams' board has unanimously approved the transaction.

Endocyte, Inc. (ECYT) is jumping 112 percent to $8.08 based on the news that Merck (MRK) has entered into an exclusive worldwide agreement with the company to develop and commercialize Vintafolide.

Decliners:

Mattel, Inc. (MAT) is falling over 5 percent to $32.25. The company's first quarter profit and sales declined from the year-ago quarter. Quarterly worldwide gross sales for Fisher-Price Brands were flat versus the prior year.

SMF Energy Corp. (FUEL) is slumping 63 percent to $0.31. The company and its subsidiaries, H & W Petroleum Company, Inc., SMF Services, Inc., and Streicher Realty, Inc., have filed for Bankruptcy.

Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. (HALO) is plunging 16 percent to $9.50. Baxter International Inc. (BAX) is down more than 1 percent to $57.23. The companies announced that the FDA is requesting additional information to complete its review of the HyQ Biologics License Application. The companies expect these requests to require additional time to complete and to delay the companies' anticipated regulatory review and approval timeline.

Trading halt:

Trading in shares of Edelman Financial Group, Inc. (EF) was halted.
