"Bachelorette" star Ryan Sutter will take to the streets of Boston in the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15 as a tribute to his close friend "Survivor" winner Ethan Zohn. Ethan was unable to qualify for this year's race because of his battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, so Sutter will run in his place.
Sutter will run the race to promote Grassroots Soccer, the charity foundation started by Zohn. Ethan spoke with People about Sutter's gesture noting:
"Ryan is proof that you don't have to have a diagnosis to be affected by a life-threatening disease. I'm so impressed with his passion to help others. He stepped up for me before and is doing it again. . . . To me, that's inspiring!"
"Every day I woke up afraid that I may not make it out alive," Zohn adds. "That being said, I have taken that fear and used it to keep me motivated to focus on the positives that have come from my experience."
