Bee Gees star Robin Gibb has reportedly slipped into a coma at a London hospital after contracting pneumonia earlier this month. Gibb has been in and out of the hospital over the last year, first for cancer and then for intestinal surgery.
Various sources report that the 62-year-old's family have gathered at the hospital and that he may be in his final hours. Though there has been no official word from his reps, a brief statement on his website says they are "are all hoping and praying that he will pull through."
Gibb was scheduled to appear at the opening of his classical work Titanic Requiem earlier this month due to illness. His son Robin-John Gibb appeared on his behalf and told the audience he sent "all his love," adding: "We are all praying for him and hoping he has a speedy recovery."
