At 4.30 am ET Tuesday, the Office for National Statistics is slated to release U.K. inflation data for March. Also, DCLG house price index for February is due. Ahead of these reports, the pound gained against its major counterparts.
At 4:25 am ET, the pound was worth 1.5914 against the greenback, 128.18 against the yen, 0.8251 against the euro and 1.4570 against the franc.
