Alec Baldwin has cleared up any doubt that he'll stay with NBC for the immediate future. The "30 Rock" star has made several comments noting that he may leave the network when his contract comes up this year, but now he says he'll stay on at least through next year.

Baldwin made headlines last week when he blasted NBC's "Today" for their coverage of his ongoing case against a stalker. The actor ripped into the show for sending reporters to his apartment building noting that he was "leaving NBC just in time."

At the time he tweeted: "The television crew camped outside my apt said they were with the Today Show. #howthemightyhavefallen. I haven't appeared on the Today Show in many years. But did they have to camp outside my apt?"

Speaking at the National Press Club in Washington, Baldwin said that he still prefers NBC to the other major networks, but fears they need some retooling if they hope to pullout of the ratings cellar:

"They need to scrape all the paint off the building and start over. They're probably going to have to cancel most of their shows."
