WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange made his debut as a talk show host on his new series "The World Tomorrow" on the Russian RT network this week. The show is filmed from Assange's country estate in Britain where he has been under house arrest while awaiting extradition to Sweden.

Speaking of the show in an interview with RT, Assange explained why he has chosen the Kremlin funded network, saying:

"A lot of the things that we have been trying to report have not been carried accurately in the mainstream press," he said. "There are many, many fine exceptions but when we look at international networks there's really only two that are worth speaking about, and that's RT and Al Jazeera."

The show will feature a mix of interviews with opinion makers and guests he classifies as "dissidents."

"RT is rallying a global audience of open-minded people who question what they see in mainstream media and we are proud to premiere Julian Assange's new project," RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan said in a statement on the television network's website.
