Aretha Franklin is working on two new albums, which she announced during the TV Land Awards last weekend in New York City.
At least one of the projects "should be out by June," the Queen of Soul added. She did not add further info on the second project.
As Franklin celebrated her 70th birthday party late last month, she added some other details, including whom one might expect to see getting production credits:
"I have re-signed with Clive Davis, so I'm recording with Clive again," said Franklin. "We're going to sit together and decide what it is we're going to record."
She also noted some of today's artists whose music she enjoys; that list included "Fantasia [who] is very good. Jennifer Hudson—some of the things she does I like. Ne Yo—I love his writing."
