Zimmerman Judge Expected To Recuse Herself Today

Circuit Judge Jessica Recksiedler is expected to recuse herself from the George Zimmerman case Wednesday after admitting to a possible conflict of interest. Recksiedler's husband is a partner at the Orlando law firm of Mark NeJame, the acting legal analyst on the case for CNN.

Judge Recksiedler is one of four judges would could oversee the Zimmerman case in Florida's Seminole County. She is expected to recuse herself after she presented the conflict of interest in a short court hearing Friday, April 13.

Zimmerman is being tried for second degree murder in the February shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in a gated community of Sanford, FL. Zimmerman claims he shot the teen, who was returning from the store with iced tea and Skittles, in self-defense after Martin pushed him to the ground and beat him.

A bond hearing is being held for Zimmerman Friday, April 20.
