Sugarland Say They Were Unaware Of Possible Delay At Indiana State Fair Concert

Jennifer Nettles says that Sugarland did not know about any discussion to delay the concert at their Indiana State Fair performance last summer in depositions released earlier this week.

Nettles gave the court ordered testimony as part of the legal proceedings brought by the representatives of those killed or injured in the stage collapse.

"I don't feel it's my responsibility or my management's responsibility to evacuate the fans in the case of danger," Nettles said in the deposition. "Do I care about their safety? Absolutely."

State Fair Executive Director Cindy Hoye has said that she asked Sugarland's tour manager to delay the concert, but that the band refused.

Investigative reports unveiled last week that their tour manager Hellen Rollens told a state fair representative, "It's only rain. We can play."
