Myers Industries Q1 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

Myers Industries, Inc. (MYE) reported first-quarter net income of $10 million or $0.29 per share versus $6.7 million or $0.19 per share last year.

Net sales for the quarter climbed to $198.8 million from $195.5 million in the first quarter of 2011.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.23 per share on revenues of $204.15 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Burger King has introduced a donut burger in Israel to celebrate the Jewish festival of Hanukkah. The burger will be called the SufganiKing, a play on the Hebrew word for donut, which is sufganiyot. The burger will be sold for about $4.
