Stanley Black & Decker (SWK) Sank To A 2-Month Low After Q1 Miss

Stanley Black & Decker (SWK) reported first quarter EPS of $1.09, excluding charges, after the bell Wednesday. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.13. The company also reiterated its full year 2012 adjusted EPS forecast of $5.75 to $6.00. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $5.87.

Stanley Black & Decker gapped open sharply lower Thursday, but traded in a range for the bulk of the session. Shares finished down by 5.58 at $72.91 on the highest volume of the year. The stock dropped to over a 2-month low.
