Mariah Carey helped introduce a new face, Leah LaBelle, to New York City. Carey was joined by Jermaine Dupri, Pharrell and L.A. Reid in hosting her at the seafood restaurant Catch on Wednesday, April 18.
"An EPIC moment at my dinner tonight," tweeted Leah, whose debut single "Sexify" was produced by Pharrell. "I can't even express my joy."
Leah also posted pictures of her posing with her high profile supporters at the restaurant. "Sexify" was released to radio on the previous day.
The Seattle singer was a former contestant on season three of American Idol in 2004.
Leah's debut album, which currently has no title or date of release, will be released on I Am Other/So So Def/Epic Records.
