President Obama To Hit 'Fallon' Next Week

President Obama has confirmed an appearance on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" next week. The appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, April 24 and will mark the first late night appearance since Mitt Romney became the lone Republican candidate.

According to the New York Times, NBC broke the news on Friday morning and the appearance will take place as part of a special edition of the show at the University of North Carolina. The Times also notes that North Carolina is likely to be a hotly contested swing state in this year's coming election.

The show is likely to draw huge numbers amongst younger viewers as President Obama will be paired with perennial summer tour favorite The Dave Matthews Band. Fallon also broke the news via Twitter writing:

"The President of the United States!?!?! @BarackObama see you Tuesday!!! #obamaonfallon."
