Imagination Tech. Enters License Deal With Qualcomm - Quick Facts

Imagination Technologies Group plc (IMG.L) has reached a license agreement with Qualcomm Incorporated (QCOM: Quote) for certain IP from Imagination's Ensigma UCC broadcast, communications and connectivity IP family. As per the terms of its licensing arrangements, Imagination receives license fees and royalty revenues.

China Manufacturing Contraction Deepens In June
China's manufacturing activity contracted at a faster pace in June, reducing the prospects of a promising economic recovery, preliminary results of a survey by Markit Economics and HSBC revealed Thursday. The flash manufacturing purchasing managers' index fell to 48.3 in June from 49.2 in May. The index is now at its lowest level in nine months.

Red Hat Results Edge Past Estimates
Red Hat Inc., the world's largest seller of Linux software, said Wednesday after the markets closed that its first quarter profit rose 8% from last year, as revenue increased 15% amid strong consumer demand. The company's quarterly earnings per share, excluding items, also came in above analysts' expectations as did its quarterly revenue.
