"Cabin in the Woods" star Richard Jenkins has reportedly signed on to play the lead role in director Charles-Olivier Michaud's upcoming drama "One Square Mile." Jenkins will star in the film as a reclusive track coach who takes a troubled teen ("Twilight" star Cameron Bright) under his wing.
The picture will be produced by the team of Howard Burd and Micah Sparks of Phoenix Rising Motion Pictures and Deborah Moore of Inner Primary Entertainment.
"We felt the writers always had Richard in mind when we were developing the script, and we couldn't be happier now that he is on board," said Burd. "Having Cameron Bright play opposite Richard is a strong acting combination that will produce a compelling and inspirational film."
Jenkins also appeared in "Eat, Pray, Love" and currently stars in "Darling Companion."
