Neil Diamond married his manager Katie McNeil on Saturday, April 21 in Los Angeles. The ceremony, which marked Diamond's third marriage, was held before family and close friends.
"Katie and I got married last night, we wish you all could've been there. It was magical," Diamond revealed in a tweet later that night.
Diamond, 71, and McNeil, 41, met and became romantically linked on the set of the documentary Diamond: Hot August Night NYC in 2009.
"Good news coming from sunny LA/and you're the first I want to tell/Katie & I just got engaged/ and I hope you wish us well," Diamond tweeted in September of last year.
Diamond's split from former wife Marcia Murphey in 1995 took a heavy financial toll on the Solitary Man, but friends say he has put that behind him and was "ecstatic" to get married again.
