The Red Hot Chili Peppers are releasing a covers EP, We Salute You, in commemoration of their recent induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The artists and songs covered on the album are Dion and the Belmonts' "Teenager in Love," the Ramones' "Havana Affair," Iggy and the Stooges' "Search & Destroy," Neil Young's "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere (live)," the Beach Boys' "I Get Around" and David Bowie's "Suffragette City."
Five of the six tracks have never before been available in digital form. The Peppers have previously cited all six acts as major influences upon them.
The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 14 at the 27th Annual Induction Ceremony.
