The number of housing mortgages in Spain declined at a faster rate in February, data released by the statistical office INE showed Tuesday.
The number of housing mortgages dropped 47.1 percent year-on-year. The decline was larger than January's 41.3 percent fall.
The amount of house mortgage lending declined by 54.8 percent from a year ago.
There was a 42.4 percent annual decline in the number of overall mortgages. Lending dropped by 49.6 percent yearly.
