Susan Sarandon claimed in a recent interview that she thinks she is under government surveillance. Sitting alongside activist director Michael Moore at the Tribeca Film Festival for a 75-minute interview, Sarandon was asked by an audience member whether or not she suspected the government was watching her.
The "Thelma and Louise" star explained to an audience at the Tribeca Film Festival that: "We know we're under surveillance . . . I've had my phone tapped."
The Daily Beast previously reported that Sarandon had claimed in the past that she had direct knowledge of this surveillance because of a file she had personally seen via Freedom of Information requests.
During the Tribeca interview, Sarandon added that she was also "denied a security clearance" to the White House.
Sarandon has a long history of activism, which includes anti-Iraq War protests, Planned Parenthood protests, support for Presidential candidates, and more.
