Japan is on Wednesday scheduled to release final March figures for machine tool orders, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic news.
Little change is expected for tool orders from the preliminary reading that suggested an increase of 2.4 percent on year.
Finally, the stock markets in Australia and New Zealand will be closed on Wednesday for Anzac Day. They will re-open on Thursday.
