After moving broadly sideways in the Asian session, the US dollar resumed its overnight downtrend against the major currencies of Europe at the beginning of Wednesday's London session.
As of 3:15 am ET, the greenback was trading at 1.3217 against the euro and 0.9094 against the Swiss franc, down from yesterday's closing values of 1.3198 and 0.9107, respectively. Against the pound, the US currency reached a low of 1.6155 around the same time from a session's high of 1.6132.
