Party goods retailer iParty Corp. (IPT) reported a first-quarter net loss of $1.2 million or $0.05 per share, narrower than the net loss of $1.5 million or $0.06 per share last year

Revenue for the quarter rose 4.4 percent to $15.8 million from $15.1 million a year ago.

Comparable store sales in the latest quarter increased 8.6 percent from the prior-year quarter.
