Cielo S.A. Profit Up 33.4% - Quick Facts

Brazil-based Cielo S.A. (CIOXY.PK) said Wednesday its first-quarter net income surged 33.4% to R$567 million from R$425 million last year.

Net operating revenue for the quarter rose 26.5% to R$1.2 billion from R$965 million last year. Adjusted net operating revenue was R$1.4 billion, compared to R$1.08 billion.

Cielo S.A. operates in the merchant acquiring and payment processing industry in Brazil.

Walt Disney Co. has threatened to pull its programming from cable distributor Altice USA Inc. if the two companies are unable to reach a new deal before the end of September.
