Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. (AHT) said Wednesday that net loss attributable to common shareholders for the first quarter was 29.55 million or $0.44 per share, compared with net income attributable to common shareholders of $31.28 million or $0.46 per share in the prior-year quarter.
Loss from continuing operations for the quarter was $0.44 per share, compared to income from continuing operations of $0.45 per share in the same period last year.
Adjusted funds from operations declined to $0.28 per share from $0.40 per share in the year-ago period.
Revenue for the quarter rose to $225.89 million from $211.79 million in the same period last year.
On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.33 per share for the quarter on revenue of $227.13 million. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
