The Beatles 'Lost Concert' Coming To Theaters In U.S.

A new Beatles film will be hitting theaters across the U.S. later this May. The film is called The Beatles: The Lost Concert and features the first ever performance of the Beatles in the United States at the Washington Coliseum in February 1964.

The Beatles: The Lost Concert will be shown in a limited engagement at 450 theaters across the United States on May 17 and 22, with a special premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater in Manhattan on May 6.

The film features not only the Beatles, but the audience of 8,000 screaming teenage fans, a 12-song set that includes "She Loves You" and "I Saw Her Standing There."

Preceding the film will be a short documentary about the rise of Beatlemania in the U.S., featuring interviews with Steven Tyler, Chuck Berry, Mark Ronson, and others.

"The Lost Cocnert" at the Washington Coliseum came just two days after the group's landmark appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
