After surprising fiancée Lacey Buchanan with an onstage proposal, Jake Owen says his actual wedding ceremony will be a little more low-key.
"No shoes, and I'll probably just be laid back in casual clothes, and she'll be in her pretty dress," said Owen. "We'll have just immediate family and call it a day."
Owen admits that a lavish wedding isn't exactly his style.
"My life has always been about keeping things simple, and I don't see either one of us spending a long time planning a wedding," he tells Country Weekly.
"We are both from Florida, so we are thinking it will be a cool, laid-back sunrise service on the beach. We might have a guy playing a little nylon-string guitar or something. I bet our wedding doesn't last for more than 10 or 15 minutes. We love the idea of starting the day fresh . . . a dawn-of-a-new-day sort of deal."
