After moving broadly sideways in the early part of Friday's Asian session, the New Zealand dollar lost ground against its major rivals in late trading.
The kiwi reached 1.2786 against the Australian dollar around 12:58 am ET, its lowest level since March 27. On the downside, the NZ dollar may find target around the 1.2810 level.
Against the US dollar, the New Zealand currency is presently trading at a 2-day low of 0.8113 with 0.8090 seen as the next likely support level.
The kiwi also reached as low as 1.6263 against the euro and 65.69 against the yen before holding steady around 12:55 am ET.
