Soundgarden is planning to release their Classic Album box set, which is slated to hit store shelves in May.
While fans wait for the band's new release due next fall, this special box set will tide them over. The box set includes original recordings of 1989's "Louder Than Love," 1991's "Badmotorfinger," and 1994's "Superunknown" and 1996's "Down on the Upside." Another rare addition to the box set will be part of the band's live recording from their 1996 tour Live on I-5.
Along with the music included in the special release, there will also be brand new artwork Josh Graham, who has been working with the band for a long time. The collection will take the form of mini-LPs in gatefold wallets with booklets.
The band also recently released "Live To Rise," which is part of The Avengers soundtrack.
