Coldplay's Chris Martin has been placed on the Sunday Times' Top 50 Music Millionaires in Britain and Ireland.

Even though they may appear lower on the list, the frontman and his actress wife Gwyneth Paltrow have claimed a fortune of £72 million.

At the top of the list is record executive Clive Calder with £1,350 million and at number two is theatre producer Cameron Mackintosh with £725 million, followed by Paul McCartney.

The former Beatle claimed third place on the list and is worth £665 million. Since marrying Nancy Shevell in October 2011, his fortune has increased by £170 million.

Additional millionaires in the top ten of the list included Andrew Lloyd Webber (£590 million), U2 (£514 million), Mick Jagger and Spotify founder Daniel Ek.

The list is compiled based on identifiable wealth - land, property, other assets such as art and racehorses, or significant shares in publicly quoted companies - and does not include bank accounts.
