Quaker Chemical Q1 EPS Tops Estimates

Quaker Chemical Corp. (KWR) reported first-quarter net income attributable to common shareholders of $11.9 million, up from $10.6 million last year.

Earnings per share remained flat with the prior-year first quarter at $0.91.

On average, 4 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.68 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales for the quarter rose 11 percent to $177.6 million from $159.9 million a year ago. Analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $165.50 million for the quarter
