Aecom Technology Q2 Profit Down 15%, Narrows FY12 EPS Guidance

Aecom Technology Corp. (ACM) announced a 15 percent decline in the second quarter net income to $49 million from $58 million a year ago. Earnings per share were down 12 percent at 43 cents in comparison with 49 cents last year.

On average, 12 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.45 per share. Analysts figures usually exclude special items.

Second-quarter revenues increased 4 percent to $2.0 billion from $1.94 billion last year. Street was looking for $2.07 billion revenues.

Aecom reduced its full-year earnings guidance to $2.30 to $2.45 per share from its prior guidance range of $2.45 to $2.65 per share. Analysts were expecting earnings of $2.49 per share.
