"Twilight" star Robert Pattinson has reportedly signed on to appear in a new film titled "Mission: Blacklist" about the manhunt and capture of Saddam Hussein. According to a new report from the U.K.'s Guardian, Pattinson will star as Eric Maddox, a U.S. investigator that led the hunt to track down Hussein in the Iraqi village of Tikrit following the fall of Baghdad in 2003.
The film will reportedly be based on Maddox's book "Mission: Black List #1: The Inside Story of the Search for Saddam Hussein - As Told by the Soldier Who Masterminded His Capture," which was co-written with Davin Sean.
The film should shed some more light on Hussein's capture, which Maddox says has never been covered accurately:
"I think the entire story of how Saddam was captured was misunderstood," Maddox told Fox News in December 2008. "It was an interrogation over four months. I interrogated over 300 people."
