Jack White has scored his first chart topping album one week after its release. Blunderbuss has moved 138,000 units, enough to earn it the number one spot on the Billboard 200.
White never scored a number one album with his previous acts, the White Stripes, the Raconteurs and the Dead Weather. The highest spot was Stripes' 2007 album Icky Thump, which debuted at number two with 223,000, just behind Bon Jovi's Lost Highway (292,000).
Thus far, White has released three singles from the LP: "Love Interruption," which charted on Billboard's Rock Songs and Alternative Songs charts, as well as "Sixteen Saltines" and "Freedom at 21."
Adele landed the two spot on the 200 as her album 21 moved another 84,000 copies, while the Wanted's self-titled debut U.S. album took the number seven spot moving 34,000 units.
