Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR) Plunged To A New Low On Outlook

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR) reported second quarter non-GAAP EPS of $0.64 after the bell Wednesday, up from $0.48 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.64. The company expects to report third quarter non-GAAP EPS of $0.48 to $0.53 and between $2.40 and $2.50 for the full year 2012. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $0.72 and $2.67.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters gapped open dramatically lower Thursday and declined for the majority of the morning. Shares finished down by 23.65 at $25.87 on the highest volume of the year. The stock plunged to a new low for the year.
