Slovak Retail Sales Growth Slows Sharply In March

Slovakia's retail sales hardly grew in March, after robust gains in the previous two months, data released by the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Friday.

Retail sales excluding motor vehicles edged up 0.1 percent annually, following a 2 percent increase in February. Sales grew for the third straight month.

Month-on-month, retail sales increased 0.1 percent in March. In the first quarter, retail sales grew 1.2 percent. The growth came after a three-year decreasing trend, the agency said.
