Joseph Gordon-Levitt is developing a reboot of "Little Shop of Horrors," with Warner Bros. The actor is expected to star in the role of Seymour Krelborn (played by Rick Moranis in the 1986 film version), a mild mannered florist who discovers that a venus fly trap in the shop feeds on human blood.
Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa ("Big Love," "Glee") will rework the original Broadway script. Marc Platt ("Wanted," "Legally Blonde") is set to produce. The film has yet to get a director.
The original 1960 film version of "Little Shop" featured Roger Corman in the Krelborn role.
Meanwhile, Gordon-Levitt's latest role in "Looper," in which he plays a hitman who works exclusively with crime organizations 30 years in the future, is set for a September 28 release. Bruce Willis co-stars.
