Prudential Bancorp, Inc. Of Pennsylvania Swings To Q2 Profit

Prudential Bancorp, Inc. of Pennsylvania (PBIP: Quote) reported net income for the second quarter of $84,000, or $0.01 per share, compared to a net loss of $1.9 million or $0.20 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Net interest income for the quarter decreased 8.5% to $3.3 million from $3.6 million a year ago. Provision for loan losses for the quarter was $100,000, compared to $3.6 million last year.

Non-interest income for the second quarter declined to $133,000 from $175,000 a year earlier.
