Beatles legend Ringo Starr is a passionate animal rights activist, and now he's throwing his weight behind the effort to save the rhinoceros. The drummer has added a photo of a rhino to his website plus a message that fans should "save the rhinos."

"I've always loved rhinos," Starr said in a statement. "They were close to my and [the late Who drummer] Keith Moon's heart. In fact I had two huge ones made and gave one to Keith. Mine is still here out on the grass here in England."

According to gibson.com, Starr also featured a photo of a cat on his website before adding the rhino picture. He also provides info on how to contribute to the pro-rhino cause, including links to a group called the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
