Mick Jagger will host the season finale of Saturday Night Live - and not only will he provide the show's opening monologue, but he also will perform some music as well.
The forthcoming episode will mark Jagger's fifth appearance on SNL but will be his first as host. Previously, the singer performed solo in 1993 and 2001, with the Rolling Stones in 1978, and again later that year with reggae star Peter Tosh.
The biggest question regarding Jagger's appearance on SNL is, what music will he play? Rumors have been swirling for some time about a possible fiftieth anniversary reunion of the Stones, who are also reportedly recording in Manhattan, not far from where the weekly sketch comedy show is produced.
Jagger also released SuperHeavy, with rock supergroup SuperHeavy last year, a band that consists of Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, A. R. Rahman, and Damian Marley.
