Eurozone Sentix Investor Confidence Deteriorates Sharply

Eurozone investor sentiment declined markedly in May to the lowest level since September 2009, data released by think tank Sentix showed Monday.

The corresponding index fell more than expected to -24.5 from -14.7 in April. The expected reading for May was -15.3.

The future expectations index plunged to -17.3 from -9.3 a month ago. At the same time, current assessment came in at -31.5 compared to -20 in April.
