Roger Daltrey, speaking with Jimmy Kimmel on the latter's late night program, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, says that the organizers of the 2012 London Olympics made a misguided attempt to recruit Keith Moon, deceased, for the opening ceremony of the games.
"It is true, and it could only happen in Britain," Daltrey said before adding that the band's manager sent back a reply reminding the committee that Moon died in 1978. "We are so organized."
Kimmel then suggested the hologram route as a means of resurrecting the drummer's signature frenzied style to which Daltrey replied the group were "kind of having a very long sabbatical, which seems to be like most of our career."
