United Microelectronics April Sales Down - Quick Facts

United Microelectronics Corp. (UMC: Quote) posted April net sales of NT$9.12 billion, down 4.59% from NT$9.56 billion a year ago. Sequentially, net sales for the month were up 11.4%.

For the period from January to April, net sales declined to NT$32.89 billion from NT$37.68 billion in the previous year.

Stocks have moved modestly lower in early trading on Wednesday, giving back some ground after closing higher in the two previous sessions.
