Industrial production in Turkey rose faster than expected in March, the latest figures from the Turkish Statistical Institute showed Tuesday.
Industrial production rose 2.4 percent year-on-year in March, faster than the expected 2.2 percent gain. The calendar adjusted production index rose 2.5 percent annually.
On an unadjusted basis, production in the manufacturing industry rose 1.6 percent year-on-year, while mining output rose 4.3 percent. Production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning increased 7.9 percent.
On a seasonal and calendar adjusted basis, production increased 0.7 percent month-on-month.
