CommVault Systems, Inc. (CVLT: Quote) reported net income of $9.84 million or $0.21 per share for the fourth quarter, up from $4.84 million or $0.10 per share reported a year ago.

Non-GAAP net income for the quarter increased to $13.7 million or $0.29 per share from $11.6 million or $0.25 per share in the same quarter a year earlier.

Total revenues for the quarter improved to $114.01 million from $89.62 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.26 per share on revenues of $106.12 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
