Tom Morello released a free download of his new documentary on May 1 in honor of International Worker's Day. The documentary is titled World Wide Rebel Tour and is based on the tour for his World Wide Rebel Songs album.
The 30-minute documentary includes a Q&A with the Rage Against the Machine guitarist as well as live performances of the tracks "It Begins Tonight," "Black Spartacus Heart Attack Machine," "Save the Hammer for the Man" and "World Wide Rebel Songs," all of which come from World Wide Rebel Songs.
As for the inspiration for the documentary, Morello told Rolling Stone that it came from the many workers he's met while touring around the world:
"It's the stories, the songs and the struggles of people around the globe who have informed my music, and this World Wide Rebel Tour free documentary is a way of giving back in a medium that I've never seen before from a U.S. artist."
The documentary is available in 42 different versions in 30 different languages, so that the global workforce can watch the documentary in their own language.
